Public order from the Nice Commercial Court
The project takes the form of a photographic work which is a diptych specifically designed to take place behind the judges and be seen frontally by the public in the room of the Nice Commercial Court.
These two photographs show two weighing scales seen from the front, at scale 1, photographed in the air cargo room at Paris Orly airport.
Technically these are black and white silver prints laminated onto very thick aluminum, which accentuates the strong impression of relief given by the precision of the image.
The theme of balance is highlighted by the choice of symmetrical representation
In fact, the two seesaws oppose and balance each other at the same time.
If we consider the double symbolism of justice and commerce, law and the market, two worlds brought together in a place whose vocation consists of evaluating, finding a balance in order to render a judgment.
Weighing here takes on its full meaning…
