Although
doors allow people to pass through and move around, these ones are closed. They
are therefore seen here as devices for closure, concealment, blocking, secrecy
and dissimulation. This feeling is more pronounced in the doors of safes, and
even more so in the door of the atomic shelter, which closes on some mysterious
and frightening subterranean enigma.
