The resulting pictorial material is very potent.
This is no longer a photographic process in the traditional sense, but a direct capture of the object on the screen of a scanner.
Small by nature, these objects are recorded like miniature paintings, similar to the gestural paintings of the mid-twentieth century.
Several are surrounded by colour from the edges of the paper lining of the box. These primary colours provide a frame that confronts two types of historical abstraction, one geometric and formal, the other gestural.
